To the women
To every woman, in everybody, in every role, in every space, in their own splendid body- you are magnificent.
For too long, being a woman was defined by narrow and limiting terms, boxing women into a preconceived idea of what it means to embody our womankind, limiting the countless ways we can celebrate who we are. There is no wrong way to be a woman.
For too long we have been living in a society that made us feel that we are never enough, especially if we do not conform to the unrealistic standards set by this world of what being a woman looks like, and how a woman should act.
Now there is a wide-open space, with brave women showing up and showing us all, you can be whatever kind of woman you want to be. You are the only one who gets to decide. You get to be YOU. And whatever this looks like, it is worthy.
Now is our chance, to step into our individual power and decide who we are, what being a woman means to us. And then, we get to step into our community power by supporting every woman’s decision of who they are. Instead of breaking each other down through comparison and gossip, we can cheer each other and stand together in the power of the great variety of womankind that we hold.
We get to raise children that feel empowered to be who they are, that feels powerful, and that will take being a woman to new heights.
We have always been enough. We have always been powerful. It’s time to feel this knowing deeply and day after day act in a way that stands up for all women. We are in this together. We move forward, together, all of us.
