The difference between Castor Oil and Black Castor Oil is in the proceeding of the castor beans. Castor oil is usually cold-pressed from fresh castor seeds, while Black Castor Oil is extracted from roasted and boiled castor beans.
Castor oil is much lighter in colour, usually pale yellow, while Black Castor Oil has darker brownish colour. Black Caster oil has higher pH level – it is an alkaline oil which helps open hair cuticles and penetrates skin easier.
