DNA Mito-Choice 90 capsules
DNA Mito-Choice capsules were formulated in conjunction with a leading Neurologist specialising in mitochondrial health. The ingredients in DNA Mito-Choice have been selected for their ability to protect and repair the mitochondria thus improving your quality of life.
What are MITOCHONDRIA and why they are important for good health.
Mitochondria are tiny double membrane-bound organelles found in almost every cell of all organisms except bacteria. Known as the “powerhouse of the cell” they are primarily responsible for converting the air we breathe and the food we eat into energy that our cells can use to grow, divide and function. Mitochondria produce energy by turning glucose and oxygen into a chemical called ATP (Adenosine triphosphate).
Why Mitochondria Matter
Each person has quadrillions (that’s thousands of trillions) of these energy factories in their bodies. Each mitochondrion is filled with some 17,000 biochemical assembly lines, all designed to produce a molecule called adenosine triphosphate, or ATP - the bodies’ major, most elemental fuel. The more energy a tissue or organ needs for optimal function, the more mitochondria its cells contain. Mitochondria are especially abundant in the cells that make up our hearts, brains, and muscles.
Curcumin protects against oxidative damage, prevents cell death (apoptosis), increases number of mitochondria and improves the efficiency of mitochondrial function.
Coffee fruit is an all-natural, patented product made from the whole fruit (including the bean) of the coffee plant, Coffea arabica. In two clinical studies, Coffee fruit has been shown to significantly stimulate BNDF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), a protein responsible for the development, differentiation, and protection of neurons in the central and peripheral nervous system and strongly implicated in cognitive and mental health.
Magnesium Threonate is critical for the physiological events that are fundamental to the processes of learning and memory. Magnesium Threonate, has the unique ability to permeate the brain and enhance the receptors that are involved in this process. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA from algae) is an omega-3 fatty acid which has profound effects on mitochondrial membrane, phospholipid composition and mitochondrial function and is a primary structural component of the human brain, cerebral cortex, skin and retina. Fatty acids such as DHA are used by the mitochondria as a source of fuel to produce ATP. Supports brain, heart and eye health and function.
